icom – a new name for a new age
Formerly Abba Print Group (1990-2006) icom carries forward the best of our achievements to date, and our aspirations for the future. We started life as a print management company establishing a national reputation for product based business solutions delivered with small company passion.
Seventeen years on and icom has become a group of three businesses which can interface collectively or individually with clients. We are 20 people based in new custom built offices on the east side of Cardiff. We cover the whole of the UK and whilst we love the benefits of modern communication technology, we seek to get face to face with our clients and suppliers as often as realistically possible.
Today icom Print Management deals in specialist electronic and printed media for businesses as diverse as financial services and the NHS. We consult, design, procure and manage the logistical process with one purpose in mind: performance and cost improvement for our clients.
In 1993 we evolved what remains a unique concept. Adco Publishing, workplace communication through everyday media – namely the payslip. Laser and electronic technology have dramatically changed the face of business media in the last decade, but the payroll process remains a hugely effective communication channel in any organisation.
Adco became icom Workplace in November 2006 which continues the evolution of the our original concept. We have continued our tradition for workplace comunication solutions (telephony, web and printed media) plus, but significantly we have added genuine content in the shape of a range of managed Voluntary Benefits for Employers. In 2000 we decided to compliment our product design skills with in-house graphic design skills. We just got fed up with paying for designs that were often over budget, not on time and didn’t actually meet the original brief so we created Avid Design which is now……
icom Creative. We can do the simple stuff fast and accurately whilst delivering great design solutions for ink on paper and web sites at realistic prices. As a team we can do the lot with some very clever people specialising in document and promotional print, publications and web design.
